Recorded by Michael Baines on 4-trk cassette December 23rd 1998 upstairs at The Intrepid Explorer Middlesbrough UK. Completely un-edited barring beginning and ending.

Recorded in the middle of an early session of the group which over the previous couple of years had evolved into and was perfectly named The Prestidigitators after a track on Naked City 'Torture Garden' album (Gillham's undisputed favourite album of all time since day of purchase in '91 not long after release)

This is from one of the many recordings which exist. Only a small number have ever been released. All master tapes and any/all other archive recordings are currently being digitised and several releases are planned.
Graeme & Gillham were had previously both been members of UKHC band Voorhees and had been for full 2 years before realising they were both into Free Jazz, Improvisation, Experimental Music, etc and up for doing something along those lines and this first session was booked a couple of months later after roping in other people who were up for something different. Graeme would continue to be a floating member of for the next 10 years until moving overseas.
