This video encapsulates the way I’ve been feeling lately: disposable and wasted. My time. My feelings. My future. It feels like it’s tumbling on speed dry, but in slow motion. There’s an urgency to get stuff done, but the rate at which it’s happening is minuscule, obsolete, unworthy of attention.

The frames are barely rendering and from what I can make out, the game is not fully-functional. This poem is what disorder and chaos are when put into a specific context: one of faith and belonging.

Where do I go from here? Who knows? For praying only makes it feel as if someone is listening for the most part.

This poem is a submission for the MVCC Library's & Glacier Student Newspaper's Poetry Contest and Coffee House event. You can learn more at: https://lib.morainevalley.edu/libserv...
