Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a 2024 third-person shooter hack and slash video game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. The sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, it was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X /S on 9 September 2024. The game received generally positive reviews from critics.
The game is set in the 41st Millennium, during the Era Indomitus, the Age of the Dark Imperium. After the return of Roboute Guilliman, the Primarch of the Ultramarines, the Imperium of Man has launched a galaxy-wide, decade-long campaign known as the Indomitus Crusade with the goal of reclaiming lost worlds from its enemies and bringing it back from the brink of collapse. However, when it seems that the Imperium have gained the upper hand, an alien race known as the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan emerge from the western part of the galaxy and in greater numbers than ever before. This starts the 4th Tyrannic War.
The game's main enemies are the Tyranids (believed to be a splinter of Hive Fleet Leviathan) and the forces of Chaos. The Tyranids are an extragalactic insectoid race whose sole purpose is to consume all forms of biomatter. The forces of Chaos return from the first game, followers of the daemonic Gods of Chaos. Confirmed to feature in the game are the Thousand Sons, one of the nine Traitor Astartes Legions who are devoted to Tzeentch, the Chaos God of Sorcery, Manipulation and Mutation.
After the events of the first game, Captain Demetrian Titus (Clive Standen) of the Ultramarines Chapter was imprisoned by Inquisitor Thrax on charges of heresy due to his resistance to the powers of chaos. Although he was deemed free of chaos taint, Inquisitor Thrax continued to imprison Titus under torture for a century. Thrax was later killed by the Grey Knights after being possessed by a Daemon, and other members of the Inquisition freed Titus and offered him the chance to return to the Ultramarines. Titus, believing that he had disgraced his chapter, instead chose self-imposed penance by becoming a Blackshield and joining the Deathwatch (an order composed of Space Marines from multiple chapters dedicated to hunting and exterminating alien threats).

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond is a 2021 remake of the 2006 Nintendo DS role-playing video game Pokémon Diamond Version. The game is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon video game series and was developed by ILCA and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch. The game was released on 19 November 2021. It was announced as part of the Pokémon 25th Anniversary event, alongside Pokémon Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It and Shining Pearl are the first main Pokémon games not to be developed by Game Freak. The game received positive reviews from critics.
Gameplay of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond is similar to the original Diamond Version, comparable to previous remakes such as FireRed and LeafGreen, HeartGold and SoulSilver, or Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The game is presented in a top-down isometric third-person perspective, though with a distinct visual style. As with the original game, Brilliant Diamond is set in the fictional region of Sinnoh, an island based on the Japanese island of Hokkaidō.
The game chronicles the adventures of a new Pokémon trainer who strives to become the Pokémon League Champion by collecting and training Pokémon. After viewing a television report about a media-conducted search for a red Gyarados, which was spotted at a faraway lake, the protagonist and their best friend, Barry, travel together to check the local lake for a Pokémon like it. They spot Professor Rowan, a Pokémon evolution researcher, and his assistant, the playable character not selected in the game. After a short discussion, the professor and his assistant leave the lake, leaving a briefcase behind. When they are attacked by a wild Starly each, the protagonist and their rival decide to examine the briefcase. They are then given a choice of one of three Pokémon found within—the Grass-type Turtwig, the Fire-type Chimchar, or the Water-type Piplup—and proceed to battle the attacking Pokémon. After defeating the Starly, Lucas or Dawn retrieves and returns the briefcase to the professor. Noticing that a bond has been forged between the young protagonist and his or her chosen Pokémon, Rowan offers it to them, asking that they embark on a journey and fill their Pokédex.
