In Episode 4 of the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid Build, we tackle one of the most difficult parts of any boat project β running wires. We discover the Power-Pole Charge is a 2-bank charger, scrap the house battery plan, and run the trolling motor battery cable from the transom to the bow along with the 110V cord to the console.

Welcome back to the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid Build! In Episode 4, we take on one of the jobs I find most difficult on any boat project β running wires.
This episode starts with an important discovery: the Power-Pole Charge is a 2-bank charger, which changes our original battery plan. Because of that, we decide to scrap the idea of having a separate house battery and rethink the battery locations and wiring layout.
With only two battery locations to work with, we have to carefully plan how to route everything. The goal is to get the wiring where it needs to go while keeping the installation organized and functional.

π Power-Pole Charge & Battery Layout
During the project, we realize that the Power-Pole Charge is a two-bank charger, which means our original plan for a dedicated house battery no longer makes sense.
With only two battery locations available, we have to make some changes to the setup. This is one of those situations that comes up during custom boat builds β sometimes the actual equipment and available space force you to rethink the original plan.
β‘ Running the Trolling Motor Wires
One of the biggest jobs in this episode is running the trolling motor battery cable from the transom all the way to the bow.
Running wire through a boat can be a time-consuming job, especially when you're trying to get the cable routed through the boat cleanly and where it needs to go.
We also run the 110V cord to the console, adding another important part of the electrical setup.
π€ A Lot of Work, But We Got It Done!
Running wires may not be the most exciting part of a boat build, but it's one of those jobs that has to be done correctly. It took some time and effort, but we eventually got everything routed and in place.
This is another major step forward on the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid, and there are plenty more installation, rigging, fabrication, and setup projects still to come.
