Monica F. Mapa, associate director of marketing in UCSF Campus Life Services, is celebrated for her influence and human touch across UCSF. During the pandemic, Monica led the university’s COVID-19 awareness and safety campaign, helping to inform while striking a tone that united the UCSF community during a time of high stress and anxiety.

Monica is the recipient of the 2025 Chancellor Award for Exceptional University Management.

The UCSF Founders Day Awards celebrate the outstanding service of faculty, staff, and learners to the university and the UCSF community in fulfillment of our mission of advancing health worldwide.
