Relive the blistering fusion-jazz soundtrack and engine-roaring audio design of SEGA's 1988 arcade kart racing masterpiece Power Drift!

Designed by Yu Suzuki, Power Drift was a technological marvel of sprite-scaling, featuring a dynamic tilting arcade cabinet, roller-coaster-like track layouts, and 12 colorful drivers battling across 25 grueling circuits grouped into 5 courses.

The iconic, high-energy soundtrack was composed by SEGA sound wizard Hiroshi Kawaguchi (Hiro). Utilizing SEGA's Y-Board hardware powered by a Yamaha YM2151 FM chip and SEGA PCM sampler, the score delivered complex basslines, tight synth brass, and electric guitar riffs that perfectly matched the chaotic, high-speed drifting action.
