The FIFA World Cup hype is everywhere, so my girlfriend got fully prepared with her jersey, Panini sticker album, and football… but then I showed up with Mario Strikers instead. Safe to say she was NOT impressed.

As a Nintendo fan, I genuinely think Mario Strikers counts as football culture at this point. From chaotic tackles to absolute nonsense goals, the game somehow feels even more intense than real matches sometimes. Unfortunately for me, my girlfriend completely disagreed.

This short perfectly represents the difference between football fans and Nintendo fans during World Cup season. Let me know if Mario Strikers should officially be part of the FIFA World Cup experience.
