PLEASE READ – (lyrics below) very cool song- by request for savoureachsensationx – hope you enjoy! :D – Story follows lyrics, which have symbolism to them, as do many of the effects. Lyrics can be taken different ways- most of it is pretty clear I think, but following are a few examples of how I meant them for my vid - I showed Raoul and Christine as “kings and queens of the dawn”- because she was the star of stage/he the authority in the day- both accepted by society and living above ground. Erik is the dark "fallen star"- living in the cellars below… “My song” – Erik’s feelings toward his dear ones, of love and both the plea and promise of acceptance told through his music - of what he wanted all his life and finally received from Christine…for the children “unforgiven”: those ridiculed by society – Erik (also perhaps Christine, by many of her peers, since she was different – knew the Phantom, spent so much time alone, etc) – and “unforgiven” also for their sins and/or their father’s sins (or more aptly- who their father was- Gustave being Erik’s son.) “Silence of empathy” means there was none given. Monochrome clips show what made Erik that way, also his thoughts at time and part of what is driving him. "Walking this world like animals" -refers to the "beast" Erik thinks he is, but also those who acted beastly toward him.
