PLEASE READ: (lyrics below)- I have wanted to vid this song for awhile now, it is so cool, I love it! :) It literally gives me chills! lol More requests coming soon, including something some of you have been waiting on for a loonnng time (don't want to say more and jinx it. ;-) lol) Story of vid: sort of hidden plot (mainly with use of symbolism) sort of not. "Both" Christines have a secret, a secret they share with Meg- Christine has been visited by an Angel of Music. She tries to reassure those who worry about her that she is alright, especially when she's lost in her daydreams of her Angel or frets that she'll never again see him. She is so lonely without him, wanting him with her always, and feels as if she's walking down a dark path without him near, especially when troubles come. What she later comes to realize is he is always watching over her. As she comes to know him, she begins to believe he is more than her angel, and unmasks him- the kiss shows her love remains despite that he is a scarred man- his appearance doesn't change what she has long felt- and despite his power "not of this world" (here's where the hidden plot comes in- in that he is the king of music and ruler over all in the opera house kingdom)- she wishes to be with him. The end shows her waking up, (all of what happened in the video her dream). In her dazed state, she is worried that none of it was real, then looks over to see that her Angel is still with her. She is his, walking with her Angel...h.p. symbolism- rays of light: shades of blue- their music, shades of red and gold- Erik, shades of aqua/green- Christine -- "secrets" and other whisper/echoes- showing they have secrets both have hidden from others (deep in their spirits), the laughing gold statue at beginning with bits of green on it is symbolic of Christine, as a musical queen, belonging to Erik, and then goes into the song showing her in that role. The masked bits that show up with the beats and form an opening, symbolic of Christine taking that door to be with her Angel.
