A post-apocalyptic artwork I created for the epic community collab by @Sigachev @AsabinArt @Farely . I was intrigued by the rail carriage platform mockup for the collab, and almost immediately imagined a scene very much inspired by the visuals of "I Am Legend" or "The Last of Us". I planned to create such a post-apocalyptic composition for quite some time, so I felt this might be a good time to do so.
Well, you must have noticed this piece is more painterly rather than the usual photo manipulation I do. It's because I was on vacation and came back home just two days back. With the collab deadline being today, it was almost impossible for me to create something within this short time. So I implemented the flexibility of quick painterly strokes to get around the restrictions of realistic photo manipulation. But at the same time, I decided to use photos for baseplates and textures to speed things up. I did want to create a photo-bash like this for a long time but never gave it a try. Since this is the first time I created something like this, pardon the mistakes and errors in it. But I really enjoyed the workflow and the process.
