At the laynch of Arm's AGI CPU in San Francisco in March 2026, a number of Arm's ecosystem partners were showcasing how they'd been working with Arm's new CPU in their solutions.
One of them, Posutron, said in its supporting official statement:
"“At Positron, we are focused on purpose-built inference accelerators that delivers breakthrough token generation efficiency using commodity memory. Arm has consistently delivered the industry’s most power-efficient compute platforms, which makes the Arm AGI CPU a natural foundation for next-generation AI infrastructure. By combining Positron’s inference acceleration technology with the energy-efficient Arm AGI CPU platform, we see a powerful opportunity to help data center operators deploy frontier AI models at scale with greater performance per watt and per dollar.”
To learn more about how Positron is incorporating the new Arm CPU, EE Times' Nitin Dahad caught up with Positron CEO Mitesh Agrawal at the launch event. In this conversation, he discusses some of the performance enhancements over x86, and how the CPU is good for addressing the needs of agentic AI workloads.
He also talks about some of the challenges for Positron - for example the current memory allocation issues and how it affects companies like Positron - and some of the opportunities and next key milestones, including their work with customers like Oracle.
