Winter is here and I"m out gathering logs from areas not accessible in the warm months using a snowmobile and a portable winch. Watch as I use the capstan winch to pull trees frozen to the ground out of the thick forest cover. Check out some of the tips and tricks I use including a skidding cone to help me pull logs around corners and over stumps without them getting hung up. If you're like me and you don't have easy access to your logs, you may find today's video to be especially familiar looking.
