At the recent e-Performance Days event held at Silesia Ring in Poland, 28 journalists from both the automotive and lifestyle industries got a firsthand look at Porsche’s latest innovations in electric vehicles. One of the main attractions was the Porsche GT4 e-Performance prototype, which truly stood out among the lineup of vehicles presented.
The event showcased Porsche’s electrification strategy through a series of hands-on activities. Attendees had the chance to test drive the newest Porsche Taycan, while also getting an exclusive opportunity to experience the all-electric Porsche Macan, marking its first appearance in Poland. The event included thrilling track sessions where journalists could push the limits of the Taycan, and a challenging slalom course allowed them to feel the precision and agility of the electric Macan. A special Taycan drift training session also took place, demonstrating how Porsche’s electric drivetrain performs under extreme conditions.
Porsche also put two iconic electric models on display: the Mission R concept car and the 99X Electric, the race car used by the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. These static displays gave attendees a glimpse into Porsche’s future in electric motorsports.
A significant moment during the event came when Austrian racing driver Klaus Bachler set a new lap record at Silesia Ring, completing the circuit in just 1:33.319 minutes in the Porsche GT4 e-Performance.
To conclude the experience, journalists were treated to high-speed taxi rides in either the Porsche GT4 e-Performance or the Taycan Turbo GT equipped with the Weissach package. As Wojciech Grzegorski, Managing Director of Porsche Poland, stated, the event was a testament to Porsche’s commitment to blending high performance with electric power across its entire range.
