Porcellio laevis Isopod Feeding Frenzy! Porcellio laevis ‘California Mix’ and P. laevis ‘Orange’ were added to this bin a long time ago. This is a display bin for pet isopods that I have been keeping on my desk. Ok ease note that once you have put two different types of the same species together, like I have done here, you should not try to separate and label them as the original stock anymore. It is highly likely that they have interbred, so they are no longer ‘California Mix’ and ‘Orange’, but something else.
These are some of the best pet isopods, in that they are large, come in a variety of colors, they are day-active, and not shy at all, especially at feeding time!
