With the current state of politics of the world and the United States. It is important for all citizens to stay up to date and knowledgeable about the world around them. Furthermore, now more than ever it is important for Generation Z, the newest set of voters, to be aware and knowledgeable of what and who is a part of their government. The focus of this TedTalk is to highlight why it is so important for young people to vote. This is done by show coincidental patterns between Gen Z entertainment and media and current political topics. Comparing the two to bring awareness to the importance of the young voice in politics. Ryan Rakestraw is an 11th grade student at Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology, where she is known for her enthusiasm and commitment to learning. With a keen interest in science and technology, Ryan has consistently demonstrated her ability to think critically and innovate.
