Gabrielle Christie highlights Black innovators who made it possible for her to stand up and speak. She also discusses the impact of learning about these individuals on the psyche of young Black children. When considering innovation, most people think of scientific discoveries or technological advancements. Christie aims to expand the definition of traditional innovators to include more unsung heroes.
