Farcry 2 is a Game that i remember fondly back in the late 2000s, the many hours i sent shooting enemies, liberating outposts and completing missions for Diamonds to unlock new guns..
Imagine my surprise when thanks to one of my subscribers i found out a Guy by the name of LionN00B made a Game based of Farcry 2, named POLYTEARS.
Polytears IS essentually FC2 but much simplified, low Poly and fun to Play at times, you complete missions for food rations and money, which lets you unlock new weapons to play around with. The weapon behaviour and combat mechanics are realistic, even imitating weapon reliability from FC2, the longer you use a gun, it'll eventually get stuck and explode, the enemies have their weapons degraded in quality so i'd reccomend not picking up their weapons once you kill them.
Polytears introduces WEAPON CUSTOMIZATION in which you're free to change the gun's magazines, muzzle attachments, stocks, even different barrels for some rifles like the AK or the M4A1, which adds replayability value.
As far as missions go, you get like 4 types of missions:
-kill a VIP
-Destroy an enemy convoy of troops
-Loot a truck
-Destroy a communications antena
And that's all.
The map, also inspired From Farcry 2 lets you travel From the desert to the Jungles where you do the same missions for money food and guns, or freely explore at your own Accord.
There are hidden weapon Lootcrates and Blood Diamonds for you to find so that gives you incentives to explore the map fully, watch out for enemy outposts!
Polytears also introduces STEALTH but..sadly its almost useless as the majority of the time you'll get spotted From miles away and the only way to see if the enemy is seeing you is by a small red meter on their Heads which most of the time you won't be able to see from the distance, in this regard i suggest you to get a Silenced sniper rifle and shoot them From afar.
Polytears is quite a fun Game if you're looking for a Farcry 2 esque' experience, It can be fun but thanks to Unity's recent controversy the game is no longer being updated.
