Welcome back to the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid Build! In Episode 9, we take the project to SRQ Welding in Venice, Florida, where Sam Campbell and his team take on the fabrication of a custom poling platform for the boat.
This was one of those parts of the build where the final result ended up exceeding my expectations. In this episode, you'll get to see how we arrived at the design, how the platform was fabricated, and the work that went into getting everything to fit properly on the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid.

🏗️ Custom Poling Platform Fabrication
The goal was to create a custom polling platform specifically for this Bay Craft 210 Hybrid rather than simply using an off-the-shelf design. That meant working through the dimensions, layout, mounting points, and overall appearance to come up with something that would work well with the boat.
Sam Campbell and the team at SRQ Welding did an incredible job bringing the design to life. Watching the fabrication process gives you a good look at how a custom aluminum boat component goes from an idea to a finished piece.
⚙️ From Design to Finished Platform
One of the most interesting parts of this episode is seeing how we arrived at the final design. There was plenty to consider before the welding and fabrication could begin, including how the platform would fit the boat and how everything would come together once installed.
The time-lapse gives you a great overview of the fabrication process while the commentary explains some of the details and decisions along the way.
🚤 Installation & Final Result
Once the fabrication was complete, it was time to get the platform installed on the Bay Craft 210 Hybrid and see how everything came together.
I'm extremely happy with the finished product, and Sam and his team exceeded my expectations with the quality and overall design.
