On Tuesday, 27 September, Police Scotland and SEMPER (Supporting Ethnic Minority Police employees for Equality in Race) Scotland launched an opening event for Black History Month.
There were inputs from various key speakers including Assistant Chief Constable, Tim Mairs and police officers who spoke about what Black History Month means to them.
Events like these help to support Police Scotland’s commitment to diversity and gives officers and staff within the organisation the opportunity to share their views.
During Black History Month Police Scotland will celebrate the achievements of black officers and staff and continue to drive forward equality, diversity and inclusion imperatives.
