When Laura was sixteen years old, she was travelling in a car with friends when they were involved in a serious accident.

Laura was thrown from the car and suffered serious injuries, which have resulted in her being paralysed from the waist down ever since.

Neither Laura or any of her friends were wearing a seatbelt.

Now Laura works for Spinal Injuries Scotland, supporting others through similar experiences.
