On January 15, 2022, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a blue Honda Civic for an expired registration tag. After the vehicle was stopped, a K9 Deputy and his dog arrived on the scene. The K9 performed a sniff test around the vehicle and gave a positive alert. Based on the K9's alert, officers conducted a search of the vehicle. The search uncovered two glass pipes, commonly used for smoking narcotics, with residue located in the front passenger floorboard. The residue from the pipes later field tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine, and the passenger as well as the driver were placed under arrest. A bag containing Fentanyl was also located in the vehicle.
