The judge in the case, Judge Helen Williams delayed a decision until the day before the local election, where one of the city council members in the records that are the subject of the lawsuit is up for re-election. Folks here know him as the Puppy Kicker, who sued a journalist on social media to silence him.
In our lunchtime live today, we take on the rules for judges, including the 90-day rule, which states that judges must decide cases assigned to them once litigated within 90 days, or they don't get paid. We are also looking at the impact the courts have on police and local politics.
