On today's Pokémon Day presentation, TPCi announced that the Kanto starters will appear in 7 star raids over the next few weeks, starting today. Here's the Unrivaled Venusaur raid battle, where I soloed it with a Chesnaught. It's pretty easy since it only resets your stats and ability only once. Bulletproof is necessary since it nullifies Sludge Bomb. Here's the setup:
Chesnaught @ Shell Bell
4 HP/ 252 Attack / 252 Sp. Def
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Bulletproof
Grass Tera
- Seed Bomb
- Leech Seed
- Swords Dance
- Spiky Shield
Even though my Chesnaught wasn't an Adamant nature, I was still able to solo it pretty easy. The main thing you need to watch out for is on the turn Venusaur nullifies your stats and abilities, Sludge Bomb will nearly, or potentially OHKO you. I barely survived here, but Crafty Shield should protect you. Once you get your three Swords Dances up, you can Seed Bomb your way to victory.
