Unrivaled Charizard returns as the last Event Raid for Pokémon Day 2024. The setup is exactly the same as it was when it first appeared back in December 2022. You can see the strategy I used to take it down with Azumarill back then: youtu.be/4seMq7bsH3M
Since it is the same Charizard, if you already caught it back in 2022, you cannot catch it again. It does have better drops this time around, so it might be worth farming it. For this round, there's a much faster method for soloing it. Flutter Mane with the following set is more than enough to take it down:
Flutter Mane @ Covert Cloak
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Fairy
Modest Nature
- Draining Kiss
- Moonblast
- Mystical Fire
- Fake Tears
Since Charizard immediately nullifies its stat drops, you can lead with three Fake Tears before taking it down with Draining Kiss. Mystical Fire x3 should be useful for lowering its Special Attack in case it hits you, then go back to using Draining Kiss or Moonblast.
