Milestone VER20070809, the fifth one created in the repository, features the first somewhat playable version of the game. This is dated to August 9, 2007, compiled with revision r1603.
The story somewhat exists from within New Bark town, though gets less complete as you go on.
Around various towns, you can find gym leaders who will give you a badge upon being spoken to. After collecting all of them, speaking to the NPC at the Pokémon League rolls the credits.
