Right off the bat, I initiate a trade with my friend locally (who also has an early copy of Pokémon Legends Z-A) so I can get a Gengar right away (1:20). After the trade back and forth, I level Croconaw up to 30 to it can evolve into Feraligatr (6:46). With that, I head over to where the rogue Mega Slowbro will appear and take it on with Taunie (11:00). During the battle, I show off the new Mega Feraligatr (15:20) and eventually take it down and obtain a Slowbronite (19:04). I take on a member of DYN4M0 (22:45) before taking on Mega Camerupt (25:52) with Lida. With its defeat, I get a Cameruptite (31:02). I take on the third rogue mega, Victreebel (34:31) with Naveen and obtain Victreebelite (39:51). With the three rogue megas taken care of, I head back to Hotel Z, where Zygarde challenges me to a battle (41:07) and I get a Pebble from it in return (42:02). Afterward, we meet the mysterious L, who looks very similar to a character from Pokémon X and Y. After meeting with the group in the hotel, it’s revealed that the next promotion rank matchup is against Canari (45:12).
I have Flaaffy evolve into Ampharos (49:02) before battling Naveen again (50:29) so he can help me meet Canari. After the match, I explore a bit before I rack up points for a Challenge Ticket (1:02:48), which requires 32,000 points now. I get enough and meet up with Naveen at the hotel (1:14:40) before heading over to the Electrical Substation (1:16:50) where a quiz is being held. After answering all of her questions and quests with Naveen’s help. I head over to Racine Construction, purchase a Gold Canari Plush Lv. 1 (1:35:10) and battle Tarragon (1:36:04). After easily defeating him with Mega Feraligatr, I finally take on Canari herself. It’s easier said than done since I don’t have a ground type Pokémon to take on her electric types, especially the new Mega Eelektross, and I didn’t realize that Mega Feraligatr was Water/Dragon, negating its electrical weakness. After losing to her two times (1:41:01) and (1:48:17), I finally manage to defeat her on my third try (1:56:27) with Mega Absol. With the win, I reach rank E (2:00:48), go back to the hotel for a celebratory dinner and save during the next day after evolving Charmeleon into Charizard (2:05:47).
