I got a lot of questions about the details of Pokémon Battle Revolution and how it interacts with your Pokémon you’ve stored, so I figured it’s worth making a counterpart to Pokémon Champions in case I do here too. The way it interacts with Pokémon HOME is not quite the same as Pokémon Battle Revolution did with Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver.
You see, there is a location in Pokémon Champions, Roster Ranch, where the game can provide you with one more Pokémon once every 22 hours, sped up with Quick Coupons, and you can recruit it for 7 days or use VP or a Teammate Ticket to recruit it indefinitely. You can, however, also link up Pokémon Champions with Pokémon HOME: a new option was added to HOME’s main menu, allowing you to select Pokémon to be used in Champions (there doesn’t seem to be an upper limit except your box capacity in Champions).
The Pokémon remain in Pokémon HOME but cannot be sent back to any game while they remain in use in Champions. However, you can release Pokémon from Champions at any time, upon which any training conducted in Champions is undone but they can be brought back. If you send them back to Champions again, changes done via training, if any, will return to how they were when they last were in Champions. (You can move Pokémon in use in Champions around various boxes in HOME though, and I later did just that to consolidate all Pokémon for use in Champions into one place.)
My initial migration over involved a shiny Aurorus and a shiny Tyrantrum I got in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. They were not really meant for battling in Champions, though I did put Aurorus to headline my first team. (From there on out, some of the training would be done in their base games, so to keep their compositions a secret, I'm only showing this for now.) I’ll put up a video showing my first three battles with this team, then I’ll take a break.
