I thought that you’d get access to Mega Garchomp Z through Season 8, but Pokémon Day 2026 announced that one more mission would upon up which would reward you with Garchompite Z upon completion. Available only to those with the Mega Dimensions DLC, I have this here in part to show what it looks like to those who would prefer not to buy the DLC (or the base game, for that matter).
In hindsight, it makes sense that this Mega Stone would be available outside of online battling. A Mega Stone is already available at every rank promotion between Rank Y and Rank S; there is no room to provide Garchompite Z unless they move it to Rank R or higher. I should’ve known.
You find Mega Garchomp Z as the “mysterious Pokémon” in a Hyperspace distortion at the back of Quasartico’s headquarters. I was bracing for a major challenge, but as it seems, Mega Garchomp Z is merely at Level 110, which is where 1-star distortion Pokémon are at. That is, almost as soon as you are allowed into Hyperspace is when you can be ready to face and beat Mega Garchomp Z. (By contrast, the lowest-leveled myserious Pokémon in the regular DLC, based on memory, is Mega Chimecho at Level 140.) Presumably, they adjusted it down to allow anyone with the DLC to get Mega Garchomp Z.
Sometime later will be online matches for Season 7, the one where I used Toxtricity, Aurorus, and Staraptor. Mega Garchomp Z will be present in some of those matches, to give an estimate of when those matches were played.
