February’s task was to create something using ‘footage from your childhood’. I was born in 1990 and I absolutely adored the first generation of Pokémon. I collected the cards (even when it became uncool to trade them!) I also remember when it was my eighth birthday my mum paid for a group of my friends and me to go see the first movie at the cinema and I was so so happy! I played the games and watched the anime too... in fact it was the first anime I watched. I decided to put the footage with a song by Muse... they are also a part of my childhood/teenhood and I’m so proud of them representing Brits with such badass anthems.

This video is dedicated to my Auntie Mavis. I was born in Birmingham (I have no trace of the accent lol) and we lived next door to an old woman called Mavis who used to babysit kids who lived nearby and was the kindest person I’ve ever known. She knew my dad was -not nice- even before he started being -not nice- and she used to sit me down and explain that it wasn’t my fault. Anyway, when me and mum moved to get away she used to send me Pokémon stickers for my sticker book. She was just a wonderful person xxxxxx I miss her every day xxxxxxxx
