Segment 7-3:
The second of 2 Pokemon that I need to capture is a level 37 Beartic. I would have rather had it be male so that it triggers Rivalry penalties against Iris's female Fraxure, but the gender distribution among the trainers in the Opelucid gym is split fairly evenly anyway. It also needs a +Atk nature, and even then it might still miss out on OHKOs on Pokemon in the Opelucid gym with NeverMeltIce and Icicle Crash. Regardless, it's a choice between Beartic and the less bulkier and powerful Vanilluxe, so the decision is obvious. I feel confident enough that Mienfoo can solo the Icirrus gym that I don't end the segment after catching Beartic.
Segment 7-4:
Probably the most variable portion of the gym battle is the Beartic matchup. It nearly OHKOs Mienfoo with an Icicle Crash; I was originally attempting to go for a paralysis with Force Palm, but a critical hit that got me a free Drain Punch also worked well in my favor. Cryogonal lacks Ice Beam and thus doesn't come near OHKOing Mienfoo, and faints to a light breeze.

This is chapter 3-2 of my FE10 HM 0% growths playthrough, commentated by Mekkah and me. It is completed in 2 turns.
Yeah so this chapter is pretty lame and basic. I shouldve given Resolve to Oscar to slightly optimize his training regimen. The boss is quite tough to ORKO as you would need 47 atk and 24 AS to do it from the physical side without crits or Adept. This is not really possible to reach with the available tools in this chapter. Probably the best consistent method is Resolve Soren with Thunder, but even then he needs to get hit down into Resolve range first.")
