Pokémon Uranium is a fan-made Pokémon game set in an entirely new region with 100+ unique Pokémon species to find, and it’s been in development for about nine years now. The game is fully released at this time of writing and it’s very impressive! I’m honoured to be apart of the talented creative team, and hope my music will add to the experience. :)

so yeah isn’t that exciting! definitely go play the game if you haven’t, now’s the best time to do so for sure. everyone’s worked so hard and i couldn’t be prouder to be apart of the team. i’ll still be making themes for the game as time goes on by the way, whatever i make will just be added to the game through a patch.


so to talk about this piece, i can’t actually say much about how it correlates with the area it’ll show up in in-game bc i honestly know nothing about it, but the idea was to make something ominous and sinister and heavy suitable for a radioactive “dungeon”. the “dungeon” in this case being a ruined power plant, probably. to fit that image i used a REALLY crunchy synth bass and built up a creepy song around that. i figured a dubstep beat (and wobbles) would be a good choice to sound heavy, too. overall i’m really happy with how this one sounds, and i’m especially proud of the bass riffs lol i think they’re catchy. experimented more with compressors this time around too, i’ve never really understood how they work but hopefully i’m starting to get the hang of it? or not idk it was mostly for the pianos that i tried to use em more efficiently

anyway that’s boring music talk over and done hope u guys enjoy this, probably gonna make another one or two or three uranium pieces before i move on to something else
