That goddamn Tauros...

Mono-Ground type for Round 1 only. Round 2 is the Mono-Normal instead, since Giovanni tends to favor top tier Normal types rather than Ground types (which is a good thing, since Normal types are the best types in Gen 1).

Fun fact, Giovanni's team in Round 1 was the first Giovanni battle in Blue Kaizo.

I had to make serious preparations for that Cooltrainer with all those water types. But nothing prepared me for Giovanni's tauros. Its special was actually decent in Gen 1, which is one of the reasons why it is the absolute best non-uber pokemon in Gen 1. It wasn't like the Beauty or the Juggler, where my losses can be summed up to misplays and mistakes of my own. I literally can't counter that tauros without losing pokemon.

Giovanni, Team Rocket, and the Cooltrainer will prove to be the most formidable adversaries thus far. In fact, Giovanni is the only Gym Leader that actually beat me in Round 1. This is the first gym is the first time you will encounter legendaries, and the movesets are decent, making this the toughest gym in Round 1. The scientist gets some moments with his double team bullshit, but most of his pokemon are really weak. And as you will see in the video, the lab man has some serious lapses in his thought process.
