This is a small hack of Pokemon Crystal based on the dissasembly of Pokemon Crystal intended to be used only for link battling. This hack offers two unique features, allowing for link battles with randomly generated Pokemon teams and the additional option of letting RNG be the only one who controls each of your actions in the battle!
Features:
- Random team generator: The game will automatically generate for you a team of six random level 100 Pokemon with:
+ Random moveset, with four moves randomly taken from the level, pre-evolution, breeding, and TM/HM -if chosen- learnsets
+ Random stat experience
+ Random DVs
+ Random Happiness
+ Random ID number (who cares :D)
- Automatic input mode: This feature will allow for link battles where only the RNG will control the outcome of each turn. The chances for each button press are:
+ A button: 25%
+ B button: 25%
+ Down: 12.5%
+ Up: 12.5 %
+ Left: 12.5 %
+ Right: 12.5%
Additionally, to speed up the process:
- The intro has been reasonably speed up, removing most of the content
- The stairs in your room warp directly to Cherrigrove's Pokecenter
- The battle room will be available from the very beggining of the game.
- The ITEM and RUN options in link battles have been removed in order to make auto input link battles faster.
To generate a random team with no restrictions press simultaneously:
START + SELECT + RIGHT
To generate a random team excluding TM/HM learnsets press simultaneously:
START + SELECT + DOWN
To generate a random team excluding NFE Pokemon press simultaneously:
START + SELECT + UP
To generate a random team excluding NFE Pokemon and TM/HM learnsets press simultaneously:
START + SELECT + LEFT
To turn auto input mode on press simultaneously:
START + SELECT + A
To turn auto input mode off press simultaneously (this will work despite your input being "ignored" otherwise):
START + SELECT + B
Follow these steps:
- Start a new game normally.
- When in your room, press START + SELECT + ? to generate a random team. This will take around half a second. You may indeed notice a small delay in the text triggered by pressing SELECT.
- Follow the stairs to the Pokemon Center.
- Deposit and withdraw the Pokemon using the PC. This is necessary for the stats to be calculated based on the random EVs and DVs.
- Find someone to play against, and proceed to link battling using the emulator TGB Dual.
- If you want to enable the auto input mode, my advice is that instead of just pressing the A button to start the battle, you press A, followed simultaneously by START + SELECT. The A press will also make the battle start, but if you press A last, the SELECT dialogue or the START menu will activate and then you'll start randomly moving around the room. Turn off the auto input with START + SELECT + B if this occurs and repeat.
- Turn off the auto input mode at the end of the battle with START + SELECT + B, if you turned it on before.

![Pokemon Pyrite - Modified Obedience System
This video shows one of the features of the GBC hack Pokemon Pyrite: modified obedience checks that affect both traded and non-traded Pokemon. Countine reading...
This follows the purpose of preventing the player from overtraining Pokemon to make the game easier or from playing an overlevelled solo run (which usually makes the game easier and less entertaining as well).
If Pokemon Level Badge Level → Pokemon will always obey.
If Pokemon Level = Badge Level + 1 → Pokemon will disobey 13% of the times aprox.
If Pokemon Level = Badge Level + 2 → Pokemon will disobey 25-26% of the times aprox.
If Pokemon Level = Badge Level + 3 → Pokemon will disobey 37-39% of the times aprox.
If Pokemon Level = Badge Level + 4 → Pokemon will disobey 50-52% of the times aprox.
From there, the chances of not obeying increase slowly, and are comparable to:
[ Pokemon Level / (Badge level + Pokemon Level ) ] * 100%
The higher [Pokemon Level - Badge Level] is, the higher is the chance for worse effects to happen (begin to nap, hit due to confusion...). This part works similarly to the way it does in the original game.

A Beta version, playable up to the Johto League included, will be released in around 15 days time.
