Caught this on 12/31/14. I actually flew down there so I could catch a Horsea and Seadra. I flew to the route and SURFed northward and found a little inlet. I couldn't resist trying to fish into it, and it worked. So I just kept fishing and kept fishing and kept fishing non-stop. I was able to catch a Horsea and eventually a Seadra, but since I hadn't missed one I thought I'd keep going and see what happened. I wasn't using Sticky Hold. This is actually my first chain fishing shiny.
I've been debating on whether or not to make a chain fishing video guide because I'm sure there's well over a hundred (or hundreds) out there and I'm not sure if I'd have the time TO make it. I'm almost off winter break and go back to school soon so if I made one it would be much later this year. But I will always make a video for each new shiny I get. :)
Why are all the shiny versions of blue Pokemon pink or purple? I guess they're aiming for the blue/pink boy/girl thing but it really sucks when some of them would look really cool in a different color.
Either way I'm happy with my purple whale, especially when it wasn't my purpose to get it to begin with.
