Randomizer used: Universal Pokemon Randomizer 1.6.1 (by Dabomstew)
I started a game of Pokemon Randomized HeartGold following Twitch Plays Pokemon's recent (still incomplete) run. In the Rocket HQ in Mahogany Town, I noticed a glitch which doesn't happen in the original game.
Basically, probably a flaw in the randomizer makes a specific trap having no encounter. When stepped on, the animation plays but the player can walk again immediately, leaving the following Pokemon frozen (well not literally) in place. Leaving the map, stepping on the teleporter, or talking to the Pokemon makes it follow the player again.
The Pokemon will also start follow the player again after a battle, exiting any dialogue or quitting a menu, but it will start from its "frozen" spot rather than directly teleporting to behind the player. It will take one step for every step the player takes, in order to get behind the player again. It can pass through walls, NPCs and even the player in this state.
