My first experience with Pokemon dates back to 1998, when the TV show first came on air (I actually don't know the dates, but whenever it was released into the US is when I started watching). I, along with many of my other classmates soon began to be obsessed with collecting cards. That obsession progressed into the Game Boy games and then the movies. Over the years my obsession died. The Pokemon series continued on, but its target demographic was for a different generation.
Years later, I hear news of an app called "Pokemon Go" being released. Now in my 20's, I didn't think much of it and to be honest, wasn't interested in downloading it. After hearing so much about it and how this obsession is taking over people of all ages, I began to become curious once again.
The media has been swamped with news of Pokemon Go lately. Some news absolutely praise the app for getting people of all races, religions, and ages to get outside and come together to catch Pokemon. Other news tells a different story. Pokemon Go has have said to be responsible for car accidents and people walking off cliffs.
As an old school Pokemon fan, I tested the game myself. This video is a Pokemon Go Vlog!
