I have been wanting to put out this YouTube video since last year.
I recorded the vocal last spring and life zipped passed me before I could record the video.
This year, I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss the spring season to present my interpretation of one of my favorite songs I’ve ever discovered through the Twitch music community.
I’ve always been a lover of Monty Python and the absurd humor that was born around that time and place. I learned about Tom Lehrer recently, but it feels like I’ve known his music forever.
What is so amazing about this composer is that he wasn’t just a musician by trade.
He’s also a brilliant man who taught Mathematics at Harvard University.
He’s a shining example of what can happen when the person doesn’t relegate themselves to a single function in life.
This video took more than 20 hours to create.
I recorded the vocal, accompanied myself, and took an entire day from 7 AM to 7 PM to film and edit the tableau.
