As I said before, this was the first film I remember seeing in the cinema and I know it has a weird rep recently but...well, to me, while it isn't the BEST Disney film out there, well...are you really expecting a Disney adaptation of the Pocahontas legend to be truthful to what actually happened? I think its a silly notion to think they'd be 100% historically accurate at all, but it doesn't mean that as a film its bad. Because it isn't, IMO, just not *as* good as others around that same sort of time. Anyhoo, let's start!
CONTENTS!:
1) Blue Warning text
2) "Beware of Illegal Video Cassettes" Anti-Piracy Promo (Sorry for the jittering here, btw.)
3) "Now Showing at a Cinema Near You"
4) "Toy Story" trailer w/ alternate narration (When you really think about it, its mesmerizing just how dramatically the landscape of animated films have changed since "Toy Story" came out. And its even more mesmerizing to know that this film has actually aged so, so well too!)
5) "Coming Soon from Disney Videos"
6) Promo for "Around the World with Timon & Pumbaa"
7) "101 Dalmatians" Home Video Promo
8) "Coming Soon from Disney Interactive"
9) Advert for "Disney's Animated Storybook: Pocahontas" and "The Lion King Activity Centre" for PC (I had the former. All the "Animated Storybook" titles I had were extremely good...besides the "Hunchback of Notre Dame" one, that was just "okay". Well it depends, its been so long since I played it that I'm not sure. But there we go~ ;) )
10) Disneyland Paris advert, featuring Space Mountain (Proberbly the coolest ad for a single theme park attraction ever. The world stood still for me whenever I saw this.)
11) Stay Tuned bumper, promoting "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (I remember first watching this and thinking "The Hutchback of Not Re WHAT?"...then I stayed put until the end of the tape and it all made sense. Obviously I was a very young kid back then, otherwise I'd sound like an idiot. ;) Or more of one, in my case.)
12) Disney Videos ID
13) A built-up with no resolution, because this upload ends here. Trololololo.

![ITV Ads and Continuity (Late Spring 2000 [?], UK)
This will be the beginning of something different Ill do now. Ill do a lot less seperate uploads of breaks in-between these shows and etch them all into one big upload each, starting with this. Which is cobbled together from breaks of a Robson Green TV movie that Ive hardly ever heard about called Rhinoceros, which was taped over for a documentary from BBC One not too long after this was aired.
Anyhoo, CONTENTS!:
1) Sunset and walking, walking and a sunset / Rhinoceros title card Anglia ITV sting
2) Mastercard ad
3) BT ad (Turns out the tapes I have seem to have a LOT more E.T.-featured BT ads than I thought. So get used to these over this month or so. ;) )
4) Special K ad
5) Woman / Womans Own magazines ad
6) Chicken Tonight Sizzle & Stir ad (YEEEES)
7) Legoland Windsor ad (How does the act of making teeth out of the skin of oranges...relate to the fun of being in...Legoland Windsor? How does that make sense? @_@ Ive been there a few times, its an awesome theme park. Best in the UK. But...WHAT?)
8) BT ad (Ahhh, the early 2Ks internet...)
9) Rhinoceros title card / Random shot of cliff / Raining with unnerving, light-hearted laughter / Rhinoceros title card / Anglia ITV sting
10) Vauxhall Agila ad
11) Walls Bacon ad (EDIT: Jesus christ, Im starting to obsess over this ad after posting it here. This has so many layers of silly in it that its insane...how ridiculously game the builders are for BACON, the comedic concequences of their bacon distractions, the managers amazing screaming at the end, the hinting that they did NO work and spent the next 8 or so hours of their shift just talking on and on over bacon before finally having some...this is incredible. Point to you, Walls. Point to you.)
12) Nokia 8210 ad
13) Calgon ad (HAH! I KNEW all these years that jingle ended with a *ting!* sound effect...oh, sweet evidence that Im not crazy!)
14) Kelloggs...I have no idea...ad?
15) Assertahome.com ad
16) Ribena Toothkind ad (Nee nee nee nee nee-nee-nee!)
17) ITV Nightly News promo w/ headlines:
- ITV has beaten the BBC for the right to record TV highlights of Premiership football games
- An air ambulance aircraft crashed in the river Mersey
- A man has been convicted for murdering Laura Cain
18) Rhinoceros title card / Bus rides up a road in a sunrise with weird opera in the background ITV Ads and Continuity (Late Spring 2000 [?], UK)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Q4GN3BOwFCk/mqdefault.jpg)
![Cartoon Network (UK) - Ads and Continuity (September 2004) (6)
Oh god, it just keeps going.
CONTENTS!:
1) The best bit of this entire rotten season of this poor, poor show / Cartoon Network ID bumper
2) Big Bravo Breakfast promo
3) Jaggets advert (Famosa decided to make Bratz clones and...yeah...)
4) Kickmaster Keep-Up Counter advert

6) Green Flag advert
7) DryNites advert
8) Magic Sand Kingdom advert (Now WITHOUT the weirdly-warped music thanks to how messed up this VHS is. Hooraaaay!)
9) Xiolin Showdown advert (I know this show has a big fanbase, but as I never watched this, I have no opinion on it. So there~)
10) Cartoon Network ID bumper / ARE YOU READY TO BE DISAPPOINTED? LETS GO! [Except not, because this uploads over] Cartoon Network (UK) - Ads and Continuity (September 2004) (6)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QXdusLYCraI/mqdefault.jpg)

![[Original Upload] Channel 4 (UK) Ads, continuity and junction (28th December 1998)
After some random show that I had no idea what was about because most of the show was recorded over and before what seemed like the Channel 4 premiere of the 1994 film adaptation of Little Women.
Anyhoo, going by as little context as I can find, CONTENTS!:
1) Promo for Stonehenge: Secrets of the Stones
2) Coming Up Next slide for Little Women / Channel 4 ID sting
3) Nicorette ad
4) Jeep Cherokee ad (Genuinely hilarious and charming. Kinda surprising considering its for such a behemoth of a car like a JEEP!)
5) Mr. Muscle ad
6) Haze 2-in-1 Active Air Freshener ad (The goofy tobacco ghoul makes me giggle. The sound FX, the expressions, the sometimes stupid editing tricks...awesome)
7) Vicks Sinex ad (Oh if only I can smell them...)
8) Daily Mail newspaper ad w/ P&O Stena promotion (Before anyone asks me anything considering what I said over The Sun in the previous upload: I hate all newspapers. Its a terrible industry. There, I just answered all your questions. Just because The Sun IMO is the King of Shit doesnt mean everything else isnt to a degree ;) )
9) Allders ad
10) Nicorette Inhalator ad
11) Werthers Original ad (Classic? Infamous? Infamous classic? Either way, Im happy I managed to catch this commercial in the wild when discovering what this tape had taped over!)

![[UNCUT] (1/2) Channel 4 (UK) Ads and Continuity (3rd April 2005)
So...erf...digitising this perticular VHS started with excitement on seeing what the actual final broadcast TV recording we did before we got a DVD recorder had after nearly 20 years...and it ended with me feeling weirdly depressed. Even as someone who was a kid for the first half of the decade (though at this point, I had been 13 for less than 5 months), I have complicated feelings with the 2000s. It wasnt without moments of joy and fun in my life, of course, but...I mean, after That Point in 2001, things just...it was rough being raised with media and culture that was leaning towards stuff that was so positive and pro-empathy and then somehow two buildings fall down and peoples ability to not be Monsterously Awful People suddenly just feel right the heck down.
And this is an interesting thing to have ended up being the last VHS tape we recorded off broadcast TV as our way of taking stuff that was on TV and preserving it for later turned out to proberbly be some of the worst-aged stuff we possibly couldve recorded from that time period. This first part isnt as bad as the second, to which I had to actually put a disclaimer at the start (look forward to that, I guess??!), but there are definite points where the unnecessary crudeness and lame-at-best boisterous laddish were the domineering things rather than the exceptions. There are still people out there like this and there are still corners of media thatre almost like nothing had changed, but I really dont miss it. Some of the stuff in these ad breaks are pretty bad, but what doesnt help is the show surrounding them neither. At best, it had some nice introductions to some legit good-looking sketch comedy shows but in the era of Bo Selecta and Little Britain ruling mainstream media to a putridly grotty fault...well, yeah...you dont need to watch the show btw, an ableist Little Britain sketch won the countdown. Screw this gross, brown soul-sludge that sent society back a decade or two...or three.

![The Lion King II: Simbas Pride UK VHS Trailer Reel (1999)
[60fps!]
Oh hey, its a trailer reel I havent actually uploaded before from what I have! I know this has been posted a couple of times elsewhere (EDIT: Jeez, a couple was an understatement, apparently!), but not in 60fps so...hey, for those whore THAT picky then...hey, here you go!
I havent seen The Lion King II in forever, nor do I think Ive ever really completed it, but its success paved the way for a whole generation of mediocre-to-awful, straight-to-video Disney sequels to established, beloved Disney movies. Ive also heard The Lion King 1/2 isnt as bad as it looks. Whatever, I guess.
CONTENTS!:
1) Blue Warning text / Closed Captioning info [60fps] (At risk of repeating an old cliche of these descriptions, sorry for the slight jitteryness around here.)
3) Disney Videos Anti-Piracy Promo [Partially 60fps]
4) Coming Soon to a Cinema Near You [60fps]
5) A Bugs Life Trailer [Widescreen] (Oh! Yeah, this was letterboxed so as an experiment, I decided to crop this into widescreen as its also putting this back in the format the trailer was supposed to be in anyway...look good? Let me know!)
6) Mulan Home Video Promo
7) Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World Home Video Promo
8) Belles Magical World Home Video Promo
9) Home Video Promo for The Wiggles [60fps] (Thanks to 60fps, theyre wiggling smoother and faster than ever!...Im very sorry...)
10) TV ad for Walt Disney World, featuring Disneys Animal Kingdom
11) Advert for The Lion King Collection on CD/Cassette [Partially 60fps] (Eh, Ill keep my copies of the original movies soundtrack and the intensely underrated Rhythm of the Pridelands, thanks. That Tina Turner version of He Lives in You, though...)
