PN-NR hybrids for eccentric BBH mergers: Inclusion of non-quadrupole modes

We explore the construction of gravitational waves from non-spinning,
non-precessing binary black hole mergers in eccentric orbits with the injection
of subdominant non-quadrupolar modes into our waveforms. The early inspiral
waveform is computed using analytical PN expansions and late inspiral-merger
using NR simulations publicly available in the SXS catalog. We discuss the
construction of PN-NR hybrids and include higher-order modes |m| = l ≤ 5
in addition to the dominant quadrupole mode l = m = 2. This increases the
accuracy of the waveforms over a large range of the binary’s sky orientation and
mass ratios, as is evident from match calculation results of numerical waveforms
from the SXS catalog.
