Our Fireplace was your typical brick fireplace from the 1980s, and I wanted to give it a HUGE transformation and be able to run the fireplace all year long. That means changing it from wood burning to electric. This gives us the ability to turn it on in the summer time and make a statement. For the facade I bounced around some concrete ideas but they all took too much time and mess to install. I finally found a product from MATT CONCRETE and was instantly sold. Its plywood with a super thin vaneer of concrete that cuts like wood. It was so easy to install and I already have plans to install it elsewhere.
