The original RKO Radio Pictures opening and closing titles to the 1942 Disney cartoon Pluto Junior, scanned from a British Technicolor print of unknown age. This was the last time Pluto’s head was tilted in the opening; it was vertically aligned for the following entry, The Army Mascot. The Buena Vista reissue we see today cuts to the original title card after the Pluto logo card. Due to some splices and the soundtrack being a bit scratchy, I’ve taken the opportunity here to restore the opening theme – on the Treasures DVD, it’s strangely edited and shortened.
