Omg, I know you guys must be sick of my OCs but they're my babies! I only have 2 OC Map parts left, and then it's tons of warriors stuff, I promise!
This part was very difficult for me. I'm kind of in an art block slump and don't know what to draw. But I'm forcing my way out of it, so hopefully this'll pass soon! I was going to make this all PMV, but I felt like a little lip sync was needed. I'm certainly no animator, though.
Anyways!! The stars of this part are Toadspring (of course) and Flowertoes! I explained a lot of Toadspring's backstory in my Middle Distance Runner part, but I didn't elaborate much on the other characters. When the fire destroyed their territory, Flowertoes was pregnant, kitting only a few days later. Luckily, she was one of the first few evacuated from camp. Her mate, a gray tom named Rockfall (the deputy of their clan), raced back in to save other cats. He was trapped in the camp with a handful of other cats and couldn't escape. When a patrol went out to check for survivors once the fire stopped burning, he was the only cat found alive. They carried him back to the clan they took refuge with and he died upon minutes of arriving.
Flowertoes gave birth to their kits not long after. Toadspring, the forever loving cat he is, steps in as their father. Playing with them, giving them advice, and overall being a really sweet step dad. Sometimes it strikes Flowertoes hard as she watches her friend interact with the kits. She's forever grateful for his emotional support, but she is also reminded of what she lost, wondering if Rockfall would have been just as sweet a father.
Please don't ship them, though. Toadspring has a mate and he and Flowertoes are just best friends.
