I think about these things. The Playstation consoles and handhelds have always favored plastic cases over cardboard boxes, and they've come in many shapes and sizes over the years.
Note that I've ignored all cardboard and steelboxes, any type of "special edtion" game was up to the publisher and not to Sony, as far as I know.
