to install in project eris place the mod file in the project eris mods folder and itll auto install next time you launch. for autobleem create a folder named RB_PATCH on the root of your USB and place the mod file in there. Itll install when you launch retroarch.
Once installed, place your legally obtained Data.rsdk file in the sonicmania folder. In project eris the folder is located in /project_eris/etc/project_eris/SUP/launchers/sonicmania. For Autobleem its located at /retroarch/apps/compat/sonicmania
Pressing reset on your PSC will exit the app. To access the dev menu press esc on the keyboard

How to use:
The basic idea is you navigate to where your rpg maker game is and type in mkxp-z.armv7l in the terminal and it’ll launch the game. hopefully you know some basic linux commands. if not then here are some useful commands:
ls = list the contents of the directory
cd = change directory. for example, cd foldername
cd .. = goes up one directory
exit = exit terminal
When you first open the app itll launch a terminal, first thing you want to do is test out some samples. type cd sample to enter the sample folder, then type ls to list the contents. you should see the following folders:
KN_E, rmvx, rmvxace, and rmxp
Lets try KNIGHT-BLADE -HOWLING OF KERBEROS-
type cd KN_E to enter the folder
then type in mkxp-z.armv7l
(note you can just type mkx partially then press tab to autofill the rest)
and voila the game launches. to exit you can either exit from the game menu or press reset. If you have a keyboard you can press f12 to return to the game title screen.
The other sample games are demos i made for each engine. it was made more to use as a template to launch your own games. instead of launching these games through terminal, you can copy them all to /media/Apps and itll show up in the Autobleem Menu. For Eris users copy them to /media/project_eris/etc/project_eris/SUP/launchers
Now you can play them from the main menu like you would any standalone App. You can also replace them with your own game. For example, lets say you have a RPG Maker VX Ace game.
After you copy the rmvxace to /media/Apps, delete everything inside the folder except:
app.ini, icon.png, mkxp.json, run.sh
then copy your RPG Maker VX Ace game in. you can rename the rmvxace folder to any name you like, and you can change the icon.png or edit the app.ini to change the games title.
For Project eris users, delete everything except:
Game.png, launch.sh, launcher.cfg, and mkxp.json
Theres probably a lot to cover but its best to just try it out and learn on the fly. If you need help, hit me up. you can also watch some of my live streams and videos for clues.
If the Audio stop working, enter this command:
pulseaudio —start
*note* if youre on a ext4 formated USB, you need to enter this command in terminal for pulseaudio to work
chown -R root:root /media/Apps/mkxp-z/home
mkxp is a open source implementation of the Ruby Game Scripting System (RGSS) by Ancurio. Used in the popular game creation software RPG Maker XP, RPG Maker VX and RPG Maker VX Ace
mkxp-z is a heavily modified fork of mkxp by Struma which adds more features and compatibility such as the ability to play Pokemon fan games. However only newer fan games made with Pokémon Essentials v19 or higher work. Pokemon Desolation is a good game to try out. Note that for pokemon fan games, you should start the game without full screen, then in the in-game option set it to full screen there. Otherwise it’ll play faster for some reason.
You can edit the mkxp.json file to disable full screen and tweak other settings. Ive included a mkxp.json configuration file optimized for pokemon fan games in the z.extra/mkxp.json_templates/pokemon folder. just copy the mkxp.json file in your pokemon game folder.
It also works with a wide range of RPG Maker VX, VXace and XP games. however I estimate only about 50% of existing games work out the box. The reason being is that RPG Maker was designed specifically for windows, and many games use custom scripts that rely heavily on win32api libraries. you know those .dll files. mkxp was designed more as a tool to allow devs to port games to other platforms such as linux and mac, but it also works pretty good as a player. Just dont expect all games to work. Typically games that dont use custom scripts, or scripts written in pure Ruby should work. A win32_wrap script provided by Splendide Imaginarius was added to increase compatibility for win32api games.

Ill like to develop a PSC exclusive game with it someday. Mkxp-z uses Ruby 3.1 instead of 1.8 found in the original RPG maker software so that means theres a lot of advanced stuff we can do. like if you test out my rmvxace sample, I got it to where the main character teleports into the world of Final Fantasy 7 with new dialogue and art. Since the PSC comes bundled with 20 games, I can utilize those pre-loaded games and add new content into it via hacked save states")

to install in Project Eris, place the .mod file inside the Project Eris/mod folder. For Autobleem, create a folder named RB_PATCH on the root of your USB drive and place the .mod file in there. Then launch Retroarch and itll automatically install.
warning this build is a bit buggy. there may be times you have to force shutdown. if u do its recommended to run a scan disk on the usb to check for errors. if the screen goes blank press F12+R to restart, then type exit.
Workaround to get full screen working with PC98 and Win95:
Press F12+F to exit full screen
then goto Video ➜ Output ➜ Opengl
To switch to PC98 you need to change the Machine to pc98 in the configuration menu. you can access this by either pressing F12+C, or under Main ➜ Configuration Tool. Once inside click the Main option and there you can set the Machine type. You can also manually edit it in the dosbox-x.conf file.
Useful shortcuts:
F12 + P = screenshot
Ctrl + F10 = recapture mouse
F12 + S = save state
F12 + L = load state
F12 + i = capture .avi video
To mount your entire USB drive:
mount b /media/
b:
Any letter is fine. Type dir to list the contents of the directory. To unmount type the following:
mount b -u
u can also edit the dosbox-x.conf file to have it auto load commands at startup. scroll to the bottom until you reach the [autoexec] section.
To mount a HDD, CD or Floppy image, use imgmount instead. I believe there are 5 IDE slots where slot 0-1 are used for floppies and 2-5 are used for IDE hard drives. Dont quote me on that im a beginner myself.
For optical CD-Rom drives we use letters instead of numbers. For example:
imgmount 0 disk1.htm -t floppy
imgmount 1 disk2.fdd -t floppy
imgmount 2 win95.img -t hdd
imgmount 3 secondhd.img -t hdd
imgmount d cdrom.iso -t iso
imgmount e MusicCD.cue -t iso
To boot from a mounted floppy image, type
boot -l a
to boot from a mounted hard drive, type
boot -l c
For pc98 u can mount multiple disks like this:
imgmount 0 diska.fdi diskb.fdi diskc.fdi -t floppy
pressing the tab key will auto fill the next disk file.
and if a message prompt you in the game to insert a disk, just press F12+O to switch to the next disk.
Some games require a hard drive and a floppy. In this scenario, we mount the floppy to slot 1 and hdd to slot 2. For example:
imgmount 1 floppy.fdd -t floppy
imgmount 2 hdd.hdi -t hdd
boot -l c
then some games such as farland require DiskA to be present at all times. in that case we mount it like this:
imgmount 0 diska.fdi -t floppy
imgmount 1 diskb.fdi diskc.fdi diskd.fdi -t floppy
boot -l a
to open DOS games we simply goto the folder that contains the Dos game. the cd command means change directory. so first we type dir to list the contents, then to enter a folder we type cd foldername, u can press the tab key to have it select the first folder on the list and keep pressing tab to toggle through the folders.
once inside a game folder we simply press tab and it selects the first file in the folder, typically the autoexec.bat will launch the game. if not u gotta go through the files to select the game.
to play a Dos games that require a CD or installation, first we need to mount a folder on the USB drive to install games to. For example:
mount c /media/Cdrive
the media is the USB directory, then cdrive is the folder i created.
Now we can mount the cd iso by typing
imgmount d cdgame.iso -t iso
d:
type d: to switch to the d drive. type dir to list the contents and once we launch the installer itll install to the C drive we created.
