Nintendo has an interesting history of including stereoscopic 3D in its game consoles, such as the Virtual Boy and the 3DS handheld. However, earlier than either of those, the Famicom 3D System was released exclusively in Japan in the 1980s.

Andy wonders if he can repurpose a pair of wireless LCD shutter glasses and use them to get 3D Famicom games working on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Will his experiment lead to a whole new dimension of gaming on the NES, or will it be a failure on multiple levels, in multiple dimensions?
