The Meditating Philosopher | Platonic Mysticism with Arthur Versluis @TheMeditatingPhilosopher | Uploaded July 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
In this talk Arthur shares his thoughts and experiences on the Eleusinian Mysteries, Meister Eckhart, Jesus of Nazareth, Buddhism, current scholarship and research on consciousness, the Logos, dialogue, and many other aspects of mysticism. He shares his thoughts and concerns about the over-arching power of technologies such as social media to distract and destroy our capacity to participate in the world and how practices, modern and ancient traditions and people can inspire us and re-vivify our connection to ourselves and the world.
It was deeply rewarding to hear from him and his books are worth their weight in whatever precious metal you choose if you're interested in the good life!
