My latest competitive Archfiend deck! This is the deck I used to climb to Platinum rank in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Archfiends at their core focus on summoning high level fiends from the graveyard to beatdown your opponent! Archfiend Empress floats very effectively with her effect and the Dark Spirit monsters. In addition, we also make best use of Summoned Skull and the fusion retrain, Archfiend's Manifestation! More 3k beatsticks that float into Summoned Skull is nothing to smirk at, and Empress can provide protections and additional floating!
This is a longer deck profile that acts as a full guide to the deck, in addition to tips, tricks and combos to help you play the deck yourself.
It's nice to be able to compete against the meta with Archfiends, one of the oldest archetypes! Giving them a run for their money is always fun and I'm constantly surprised with how well they perform, even in the February 2022 format!
I also forgot to add a combo! Summon Tour Guide, summon Fiendish Rhino Warrior. Overlay into Dante, detach Tour Guide and send 3. Send Scarm to summon Beatrice. End Turn, add Dark Spirit of Malice. On their turn, activate Beatrice, detach Rhino Warrior and send Dark Spirit of Banishment then Archfiend Empress (recycle Dark Spirit). This puts both dark spirits in hand, and accompanying this with a Void Apocalypse or something similar, you end up having "full combo!"
This is my Platinum Archfiend deck profile 2022 and guide for the February 2022 format. Since it reached Platinum in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, I think it's safe to call this a competitive Archfiend deck, or at least relatively speaking. Since the deck also utilises Summoned Skull, I suppose you could also call it a Summoned Skull deck! I like to think that it's an Archfiend deck though, as I want to utilise all Archfiend cards rather than silo them, which might unintentionally nerf them!
