Slowly but regularly we are letting lose plastic balls of the same dimension in the Atlantic wave Basin. This test is performed together with the European Space Agency and European Universities to see if it is possible in the near future to trace plastic litter from space by satellite or by aeroplane. The waves are scaled and the plastic balls represent concentrations of plastic litter.
