The Plaskett Fire, burning south of the Timber Fire, has burned more than 2,700 acres since starting Wednesday and is prompting additional evacuations. Officials say windy conditions and rugged terrain are making firefighting difficult, with no roads leading into parts of the fire area. The fire has little to no containment, and its cause remains under investigation.
