At this year’s Guitar Summit, I caught up with Leigh from PJD Guitars to talk about their latest creation - the PJD Romulus. It’s a brand-new design built for players who like their guitars sharp, balanced, and unapologetically British. From hand-wound pickups to their perfectly executed curves, it’s clear PJD aren’t just chasing trends. They’re defining their own lane.
The Romulus features a new neck profile, PJD’s own in-house pickups, and hardware that favours feel over flash - Gotoh bridges instead of the usual Floyd setups. There’s even an Indonesian-made entry-level series that keeps the quality high while making the brand more accessible, priced around £799. And yes, the Original Burst finish still looks stunning under stage lights.
